Mathletes Challenge 2013 Championship Results
We had a great evening of competition last night during the Mathletes Challenge 2013 Championship Round. Four points separated last place from first. All of the teams should be commended for their dedication and hard work. Jefferson Elementary won the Championship. They did not miss a question last night. This is their second year in a row to win the overall championship. Don Roberts Team 1 & Team 2 only missed one question during the Championship regular rounds. They had to compete against each in a Sudden Death Round to decide second and third place. Forest Park only missed three questions to take fourth place and Fulbright only missed four questions to earn fifth place. Congratulations to all the teams that competed. Photos from the competition will be posted later this evening.

Mathletes 2013 Round 02 Results
Round 02 of the Mathletes Challenge 2013 proved to be an interesting one. We had our first sudden death of the competition and then immediately the second sudden death at the end of Round 02 today. Carver Team 1, Forest Park Team 1, & Forest Park Team 2 all tied for the fifth and final place in the Championship Round next week. After administrating the fist sudden death test, both Forest Park teams were tied with a perfect score and Carver Team 1 just missed one. Then, both Forest Park teams had to compete against each other for the final spot in next week’s championship and Team 1 was victorious in the second sudden death.
We also had three teams (Don Roberts Team 1, Don Roberts Team 2, and Fulbright) make a perfect score of 40 out of 40 today! These three teams plus Jefferson Team 1 & Forest Park Team 1, will be competing next Tuesday night for the Championship. Please join us if you can at 6PM next Tuesday night!

2012 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 4,400 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 7 years to get that many views.
